VIRTUAL ANIMAL DISSECTIONS
In this activity, you will be exploring and analysing the similarities and difference between the body
systems of different animals. For this activity, you can work in pairs or a group of 3. However, you
will each need to complete the document individually.
1. You need to access the following link:

2. Select three different animals from the list.
3. Use the information and photos provided of the dissections to examine the similarities
and the differences between the body systems in each.
4. Fill in the tables below. Make sure to be specific and include detailed answers. For
each animal you will need to describe the structure and components of: the respiratory
system, the digestive system, the excretory system, skeletal system and the circulatory
system.
5. You then need to summarise the similarities and differences between each of the
systems of the animals. Suggest reasons why you think this is the case. You can also
use your textbook (pages 269 – 274 to help).
