Campaigns Manager
Role Summary
The Marketing Admin Assistant will support the delivery of key aspects of the cross-University
marketing plan which has been established by the Head of Brand. They will be a key member of
support staff to the Marketing Campaigns Unit.
This is a broad-ranging role, with the post-holder needing to be organised, have good
communication skills and have the ability to juggle and prioritise multiple tasks. The successful
candidate will support marketing campaigns, events and administrative activities. The role is
based at the Buxton Campus with some requirements to work cross-campus at Derby and
Chesterfield.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Support the campaigns team with general administrative support including office administration,
monitoring and management of marketing email accounts and general enquiries
2. Support all University events at the Buxton Campus including logistical administration, set-up and
event delivery
3. Be the point of contact for student or guest visits, liaising with colleagues across the department to
provide excellent customer experience
4. Take responsibility for the stock control of all marketing collateral, working with colleagues across the
University to ensure requirements are met
5. Assist the administrative elements of campaign activity including finance processes, data
management and basic reporting
6. Provide support to the Campaigns Officer with the reviewing of web content and updating website
content as required
7. Provide support to the Campaigns Officer with activity such as competitor analysis, social media
analysis, feedback surveys and industry trends
8. To be a positive ambassador for the University, representing it at events including Open Days and
other student recruitment events
9. Fully embrace a culture of continuous improvement which encourages team members to question the
norms, try new things and be innovative and creative in their approach

Essential Criteria
Qualifications

GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above.
Experience



Experience and demonstrable success within a similar role
Experience of using website content management systems
Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and keep key stakeholders regularly updated on progress -
Skills, knowledge and abilities






Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Good team player, but able to work under own initiative
Pro-active with a solutions-focused approach to work
Ability to work across campuses (e.g. Derby, Buxton and Chesterfield)
Business requirements

Ability to work out of hours on occasion, particularly at events

A levels of equivalent
Marketing qualification or equivalent experience
Experience

Understanding of the student recruitment cycle and the broader higher education environment
Experience of carrying out desk research and preparing recommendations based on findings
Skills, knowledge and abilities

Proofreading skills and good attention to detail
