On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are pleased to invite you to attend the International
Conference on Intelligent Information Systems (IIS2013), to be held on August 20-23, 2013, in
Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. The first edition of this conference was held in Chisinau, on
September 13-14, 2011 (http://www.math.md/iis2011/
The conference is organized by the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Academy
of Sciences of Moldova in co-operation with the Institute of Information Society Development of
the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and the Russian Association of Artificial Intelligence.
Aim and scope
The conference encompasses a broad spectrum of intelligent information systems related subjects. It
is devoted to discussion of current research and applications regarding basic directions of intelligent
systems development.
Topics of interest include, but are not restricted to the following areas:
 Theoretical Computer Science;
 Formal Models of Computing;
 Information Technologies Applications in Knowledge-Based Society;
 Decision Support Systems;
 Intelligent Agents and Multi-Agent Systems;
 Knowledge Engineering and Management;
 Image Processing;
 Medical & Diagnostic Systems;
 Natural Language Processing;
 Business Intelligence Systems;
 Human-Centered Computing;
 Intelligent User Interfaces.
Participants are invited to submit high quality papers reporting on original research, scientific
results and experiences addressing the outlined topics.
A special session in memoriam of prof. Iurii Pechersky will be organised.

The conference IIS2013 will be organised in conjunction with the 14th edition of the International
Conference of Membrane Computing – CMC14 (http://www.math.md/cmc14).
Venue
Conference Hall (of. 340) of the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Academy of
Sciences of Moldova, Academiei street, 5, Chisinau, Republic of Moldova.
Registration fee
200 MDL (covering registration, workshop materials, Workshop Proceedings, refreshments during
breaks, does not include social program). Registration fee can be paid at the workshop desk.
Transport and accommodation expenses will be borne by participants.
Papers
Papers (4 pages) should be written in English and sent to the Organizing Committee via email
[email protected] until May 2, 2013. Accepted papers will be published in the Workshop
Proceedings. See format instructions in IIS 2013 paper template in LaTex format.

Selected papers will be accepted for publication in Computer Science Journal of Moldova
(CSJM, ISSN 1561-4042). Requirements for papers publication in CSJM are also available at
http://www.math.md/en/publications/csjm/instructions-authors/.
