Alcohol DrinkDeal [card game] (2) This alcohol card game has been used with young people from the age of 12 upwards, both in schools and in youth work settings. It has proven to be particularly useful in training sessions with professionals who want to increase their awareness of alcohol issues. Cardiovascular Blood Triglycerides Packet The need for a healthy diet is emphasised by the four blood viscosity samples in this pack. Display is contained within its own carrying case. 28" x 27" opened. Cardiovascular Death of an artery (easel display) Artery sections showing build-up of cholesterol mounted on display easel. Booklet on cholesterol. Cardiovascular Deluxe occluded artery The potentially deadly effects of high cholesterol are demonstrated by these two transparent tubes. One tube represents an artery constricted by plaque, which forms on artery walls when there is excess cholesterol in the blood. The other tube represents a healthy artery without any plaque. Turn the model over to see how plaque buildup can restrict bloodflow in the constricted artery which slows or stops completely, and contrast it with the bloodflow in the healthy artery. An excellent tool for explaining the importance of keeping cholesterol under control. Cardiovascular Heart [chart] The main image of this chart features cutaways of the interior structures of the anterior view of the heart (which is shown sitting on the diaphram). Anterior view, posterior view, section of heart wall, valves, heart valves, coronary arteries are all illustrated. The cardiac cycle, blood pressure, and cardiac conduction are defined Cardiovascular Heart conditions [chart] This chart contains a large image of a normal heart for easy comparison with important cardiac conditions. Cardiovascular Respiratory organs and heart model Life-sized, with removable sections. Cardiovascular Understanding stroke [chart] This chart provides essential information regarding stroke. Explains and illustrates stroke, including the two main types: ischemic and hemorrhagic. For ischemic stroke, shows common sites of plaque formation, formation of a thrombus and embolus. For hemorrhagic strokes, illustrates brain with intracerebral hemorrhage and ateriovenous malformation (AVM). This revised chart shows glucose molecules from the digestive system and insulin molecules from the pancreas traveling in a blood vessel.
