Camellia Colors and Descriptions
Blue Danube Japonica Camellia

pink double in midseason. Partial shade.
Shishi-Gashira Sasanqua Camellia


Reddish pink blossoms delight for autumn!
Blooms from late September to November
Shi-Shi-Gashira Camelia, will lend its special flowering in autumn to early winter.
Its deep magenta double blossoms are perfect in a woodland or Asian garden.
Camellias are easy to grow. Put some mulch over it's roots when you plant and
make sure it gets enough water the first year. Then they're on auto-pilot after that.
Shi-Shi Gashira is considered by many to be the best landscape camellia. Its
smaller size makes it more versatile and the red - pink blooms look better than
any rose you can grow. Eventually reaches 5 feet in height. Use it as a foundation
hedge, accent evergreen or entryway plant.
Blood of China Japonica Camellia
Evergreen shrub. Grows in an upright but compact manner 8 to 10 feet tall.
Foliage is dark green, and glossy. Needs part to full shade, a well-draining,
acidic soil, and regular water.
Flowers in early Spring, late Winter and mid Spring.
Kramer’s Supreme Japonica Camellia
• Fragrant red blooms that last for months
• Low maintenance and easy to grow
• Perfect around patios
The Kramer’s Supreme Camellia boasts huge 5-inch blooms that last for an amazing 4
months! You will be astonished at the number of brilliant red blooms that will coat your
camellia from January thru April.
This plant adds tons of color to any landscape, especially since it begins to bloom when
other plants are dormant.
It is not typical for Camellia blooms to have a fragrance, but this camellia happens to be
one of the few varieties that offer a delightful scent.

CAMELLIA COLORS and DESCRIPTIONS
Cotton Candy Sasanqua Camellia
Dense, spreading evergreen shrub with relatively large semi-double pink flowers,
scented and ruffled and with a lot of petaloid stamens.
Dense upright spreading growth habit >>> to 6-8'+ (semi-weeping with age)
Northern Lights Sasanqua Camellia
The vigorous plants have an upright, spreading habit and medium height. The
flowers are white with rose edges and flecks and are single with many gold
stamens. The large flowers are produced in the leaf axils (joint between leaf and
branch), have waxy petals and appear from fall to mid-winter. What these blooms
lack in size compared to common camellias, they make up for in numbers. It is
not uncommon to see plants covered in blooms with many buds yet to open.
Stephanie Golden Sasanqua Camellia
Stephanie Golden is a profuse blooming camellia variety. Like other camellias
Stephanie Golden’s best features are its evergreen foliage and fall flowering.
Once mature, it can reach a height of up to 10 feet with a slightly smaller spread.
Yuletide Sasanqua Camellia
Single, brilliant, fiery red blooms centered with bright yellow stamens makes this
a beautiful addition to the winter garden. Blossoms stand out in high contrast
against glossy, dark green. Excellent choice for a colorful hedge or screen,
espalier, and border shrub. Mid-season bloomer. Evergreen. The Yuletide
Camellia grows to an impressive 8-10 ft. high and 6-8 ft. wide.
