Year 4’s Healthy Lives Wiki
Healthy Minds
Healthy eating is good for your brain and your health .Make sure you are
watching what you drink and take some exercise. Talking to others help your
mind stay healthy so then you don’t feel depressed and so you’re not lonely.
Getting a hobby is perfect if you are stressed out and excepting your unique.
Care for others is a perfect way to interact and making your brain healthy.
Exercise your mind it lets all of the stress disappear. Yoga is good for your mind
and exercise. There is help in hand so if you can go and try it. Meditation similar
to yoga but meditation is to relax it is perfect. (By Ellie and Taylor)
Not many people know that drinking cools down your brain. Puzzles are also
good. Running is good to get your mind off things I recommend to go to gym
because it keeps your mind calm and socialising is good to keep you happy.

Healthy Eating
Being healthy is the best way for life.
When you are older you will have strong bones and muscles.
If you eat healthy you won’t get diseases.
It could be very unhealthy to eat too much fatty red meat
On your plate you need fruit and vegitables and grain foods milk and dairy
foods protein foods like meat, eggs, beans ,tuna .
If you want be active eat foods healthy food (By Alesha and Lisha)
Healthy eating is when you eat variety of different type of food. The different
groups like fruit and veg protein, dairy and carbohydrates. Proteins are fish,
meat , hempseeds. Garlic has anti bacterial, anti fungal and anti septic
properties. Kale is high on iron, also rice is very healthy. Avocados lower your
cholesterol , grapefruit boost your liver function, tomatoes are rich in vitamin C.

Bananas are the 4th largest agricultural project in the world and they are really
healthy.
Apples , peaches , raspberries are all members of the same family and are also

Healthy Teeth
Your mouth is a busy place. Bacteria –tiny colonies of living organisms are
constantly, on the move on your teeth, gums, lips and toughs.
Having bacteria in your mouth is a normal thing. While some of the bacteria can
be harmful, most are not and some are even helpful.
Certain bacteria, however, can attach themselves to hard suffuse like the
enamel that covers your teeth. If they’re not removed, they multiply and grow in
until a colony forms. More bacteria more bacteria or different types attach to
the colony already growing on the tooth enamel. (By Ellis and Dylan)
Always brush your teeth 2 times a day after breakfast and last thing before
going to bed.
Use a small toothbrush with soft bristles.
Use fluoride toothpaste.
From 6 years of age use adults toothpaste, but make sure you spit it out when
you have finished cleaning your teeth.
Children under 6 need special children’s toothpaste. (By Luna and Keira)
Drinks and food
To keep your teeth healthy you need to drink lots of water and lots of milk. Eat
food without sugar in it but or once twice a week you can eat a little bit of food
with sugar in it for a treat.
Going to the dentist
You need to the dentist every six months. The dentist checks you teeth to see
if there is any problems in your mouth. The dentist will make sure that your

Healthy Bodies
You need to have foods with nutrition, protein, vitamins, minerals and a long
sleep with a balanced diet with exercise, loads of water and food.
You need to do this because it will help your health (if you don’t do this your
bowel will get unhealthy) you have to sleep a lot because it will help you fight
infection that’s why you need to be healthy all the time. Follow those healthy
rules! 
Do loads of exercise so you can get stronger bones and muscles and build your
stamina so you can run faster and for longer too! (By William O and Zach)
There are lots of reasons to get active
It makes you feel good and it makes you healthy and strong. It gives you
energy and it stop you becoming overweight. (By Lacey)
A healthy body is achieved not only with physical wellbeing but also with a
healthy mental and spiritual attitude.
The way to good health and a healthy body is directly related to what is put into
that body and how it is treated.
For a healthy body you need to have lots of exercise and sleep.
Try doing a mix of activities to exercise all the different parts of the body.
Rowing and tennis are good for your arm muscles.
Running and bike-riding are good for your leg muscles.
Swimming helps many muscles at once.

Stay at a healthy weight.
