Adesto Technologies (NASDAQ:IOTS) is a leading provider of application-specific, ultra-low power
non-volatile memory products.
Adesto DataFlash and Serial Flash can store any combination of boot code, application code,
parametric data and user data in every density from 256Kbit to 64Mbits.
DataFlash devices offer uniform page erase size as small as 256 bytes. This provides the user with the
ability to perform completely self-contained, read-modify-write operations with minimal system overhead
and management.
Our DataFlash products offer byte write capability, dual and quad I/O interfaces, 85 MHz operation, low
power read of <10 MHz, zero-power shutdown, 1.6V and 2.3V operation and smart features to improve
security and energy efficiency.
Inventing Memory for Things™
Targeted for wearable, mobile, and other energy conscious applications, Adesto’s “Fusion” Serial
Flash family enhances Adesto’s existing AT25DF products by combining industry standard sector sizes
and read/write commands with new features such as wide Vcc (1.65V-3.6V), “ultra-deep power down”
mode, and page erase capability.
Mavriq is an ultra-low power, CMOS compatible non-volatile memory that is customized for a wide
range of discrete and embedded markets. Adesto Technologies Corporation currently partners with a
number of leading semiconductor companies in deployment of Mavriq memory in the market place.
Together, Adesto's complementary technologies offer designers a wide variety of solutions for lowenergy storage. With these features, Adesto memories can extend the life of battery-operated and other
energy-conscious devices such as Bluetooth low energy (BLE) products, DECT ULE (Ultra Low
Energy), ZigBee RF4CE, Z-Wave and other Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct applications. For more information,

Mavriq
Low Energy Non-Volatile Memory
Adesto Technologies manufactures
the semiconductor industry’s first
non-volatile memory family based
on Conductive Bridging RAM
(CBRAM) technology. From 32Kb
to 512Kb, Adesto’s RM24x and
RM25x resistive RAM devices
offer functional and electrical
compatibility with today’s serial
EEPROMs. Offered in both SPI and
I2C interfaces, Adesto’s Mavriq
family of products offer simple
integration and excellent value.
Whatever your non-volatile
memory needs may be, Adesto’s
Mavriq serial memory, with its low
power operation, low energy
consumption and unique features
can help you reach your power and
design objectives.
Adesto’s proprietary non-volatile Mavriq memory
is created by applying patented metallization and
dielectric stack layers between CMOS interconnect
layers. The result is a superior memory with long-term
CMOS scalability, demonstrated to scale as low as 12
nm. The memory cell consists of two non-critical layers
added to the base CMOS without compromising the
silicon IP.
This simple manufacturing architecture allows Adesto to
offer Mavriq products at an excellent value over more
complicated competitive processes. It also provides a
direct path for foundries or System-on-Chip device
manufacturers to use Adesto technology in their
embedded memory applications. Contact us for more
information on integrating Mavriq memory in your chip
design.
Battery-operated electronics demand energy conscious components. Today’s discrete Mavriq products feature Vcc
Read supply voltage as low as 1.65V, Byte Write energy consumption at ~50 nanojoules, Write at 1mA or lower, and
Read at 0.25mA or lower. These low-power capabilities enable applications such as smart meters, IoT sensors,
wearable technologies or other battery-operated consumer electronics. Technology demonstrations have shown
Mavriq’s unique capability to program at voltages as low as 0.6V and read at voltages of less than 0.4V, capabilities
that will empower new applications such as energy-harvesting sensors and other ultra-low power embedded devices.
Adesto’s Mavriq memory can provide high performance read and write capability, even in ultra-low power conditions,
delivering a 1MHz clock and 30µs byte-write cycle time in commercially-available products. Development results show
ultra-fast 10ns write cycle times are attainable, promising lightning fast performance from future offerings.
Data retention and device operation at high temperature are necessary for solid state lighting and industrial
applications, as well as a manufacturing requirement for devices containing boot code or other data exposed to solder
reflow. Mavriq’s underlying technology overcomes these challenges with demonstrated resistance at high
temperatures, while preserving the speed, low-voltage and ultra-low power characteristics inherent to the technology.
In addition to high-temperature environments, Adesto has demonstrated Mavriq’s sterilization tolerance with device
function and data storage surviving gamma and e-Beam radiation testing. The unique mechanism of data storage
employed in its technology protects the data from the effects experienced by traditional non-volatile memories when
exposed to radiation. This enables Mavriq products use in medical environments and other applications that require
sterile memory components, verified by sterilization techniques at levels up to 200kGy.
