pairs using absolute value to calculate
distances.

1. Walk to the elevator go either
to:
a) the right (positive +)
b) or to the left (negative -)
2. Take the elevator:
a) up (positive +)
b) or down (negative -)

(90°)
Parallelogram
• A 4-sided flat shape with straight
sides where opposite sides are
parallel.
Also:
• opposite sides are equal in length
• and opposite angles are equal
(angles "a" are the same, and
angles "b" are the same)

(Vertices)
• A point where two or more
straight lines meet. A corner.
• The plural of vertex is "vertices".
