Definition: These are tubes of the circulatory
system that carry blood and other liquids
through the body.
  Types
 
  Arteries:
carry blood away from the heart
  Veins: carry blood to the heart
  Capillaries: tiny blood vessels that allow for gas,
nutrient and waste exchange.
