Friday 8am to 6.30pm to deal with your enquiries. The telephone number for enquiries is
0151 228 3768. The practice is registered under and conforms to the Data Protection Act and
patients can gain access, if necessary, to their records in accordance with current legislation.
Making an Appointment
All consultations are by appointment only, patients will be offered the first available
appointment at the surgery. To contact the appointments line, please call 0151 259 2900. The
appointment line is open from 8.30am until 5.30pm daily.
There is an automated system in operation on the appointments line for routine GP
appointments. For any other appointments, such as with a practice nurse or an urgent
appointment, you should hold and speak to a receptionist. You can also register with the
practice to book appointments and request repeat prescriptions online via Patient.co.uk
The practice offers early morning appointments 3 days a week (Monday – Wednesday) and
late evening appointments on a Tuesday.
Telephone consultations are also available with all GP’s in certain circumstances, such as to
receive test results, medication reviews, earache, head lice, water infections and sick notes.
Please inform the receptionist you would like a telephone consultation when booking. If you
cannot attend an appointment you have made, please ring and cancel it in advance as
continued failure to do so will result in you being removed from the practice list.
Emergency Appointments
We release a handful of urgent appointments daily, in two batches. For a morning urgent
appointment, call the appointments line from 8.30am or call into the surgery and for an
afternoon urgent appointment, call the appointments from 3.30pm or call into the surgery.
Please be aware that there are only a couple of urgent appointments available each day and
they do tend to be booked within a few minutes of being released.
Home Visits
It is practice policy to visit only housebound or terminally ill patients. Home visits will NOT
be made for children. Requests for home visits should be made BEFORE 10.30AM on 0151
