Reticular interstitial pattern. The chest radiograph of a patient with cardiac disease who presented to the emergency department with progressive dyspnea.
The initial diagnostic impression was interstitial pulmonary edema. The patient was taking amiodarone for malignant ventricular dysrhythmias (note the
implanted automatic defibrillator). The lack of response to diuretics and the high-resolution CT pattern suggested that this was toxicity to amiodarone. The
