Abstract
BI to find the best way to process the data to become easy to analyze for the
executives in the company that can be used for decision making processes DESIGN
METHOD that used in this thesis include methods of data collection and analysis
methods. Analysis is used to analyze PT DJABESMEN include external business
analysis of environmental, internal business analysis of environmental, internal and
external analysis of environmental SI/ IT.THE RESULTACHIEVED in the making
of this final report is to get the performance evaluation and forecast for PT
DJABESMEN, so the company can survive and prepare for the future.
CONCLUSION obtained for PT. DJABESMEN should improve their data process
for the sales and purchase , so they will know and can predict what to do in the
future and can move fast than other competitor. Using the Business Intelligence also
can show that the company quality performance in their sales and purchase.

Background
Growth of increasingly advanced technology makes the competition between
companies is increasing because no longer limited by space and time. Information
needs of a fast, accurate, and up-to-date to be crucial in enhancing the
performance of companies and also for the decision making that support the
company in the competitive market. That is why the quality of the information
become really important for the company. The role of information technology in
the enterprise business processes are increasingly inseparable. Role of information
technology as a tool for a company or organization's performance in terms of
providing information that is needed in business operations, including in the
management information, corporate critical data, making the effective report and
also increasing the effectiveness of the decision making.
With the use and application of information technology, a collection of
related data may be processed into appropriate and useful information in
decision-making. Business Intelligence (BI) is a tool that can support the
processing of data to produce quality information and analyze the information to
produce knowledge that can support the decision-making process. BI systems is
a term generally used for applications and technologies that are used to help the
BI activities, such as collecting data, providing access, and analyze data, as well
as information regarding the performance of the company.The application of BI
in the enterprise can be utilized to improve the performance of the company
through the selection of appropriate business strategies, increasing the efficiency
of the work that will benefit the company. BI can also assist companies in
analyzing the trend changes occur that can help companies determine strategies
to anticipate these changes.
PT.DJABESMEN realize the impotance of the business intelligence and
interested in developing and implement it for decision making process. In this
thesis we will making the business intelligence dashboard for PT.DJABESMEN
to support the company in managing the data and present it in simplicity way for
example in chart and graphs. As we can see from (Hansoti, 2010)“An enterprise
dashboard provides a condensed visualization of a company‘s performance.
When designed appropriately, it is an easy-to-use application where any kind of
qualitative or quantitative data is represented graphically and is easy to
understand. In today‘s global market the success of any department depends on
its ability to make quick intelligent decisions related to complex problems.
Different departments in an organization use a dashboard differently to serve
their unique needs. Any employee in charge of making a decision has to deal
with a large amount of data, dashboards make it easier to comprehend large
amounts of data”. So from the dashboard, the executive can easily understand it
and take a conclusion from all the data for decision making process especially in
sales and purchasing. From the dashboard application PT.DJABESMEN also
can make a conclusion of the forecasting function, for example which product is
the most sold, which region had order the most product, etc, that can help the
executive in making a decision.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
To be able to properly analyze the existing problems in the PT
DJABESMENand propose appropriate solutions, then we use several
research methods including the following:
1. Object Research
a. PT.DJABESMEN
b. Business processes in PT.DJABESMEN

Method of Data Collection
a. Interview
Data collected from the companies involved the IT staff
and IT manager, to require Business Intelligence
information that needed, to support the decision making.
b. Direct Observations
The data collected can be done by observing existing
business processes and find out the problem that
occuring in PT DJABESMEN by coming and make a
direct observation to PT.DJABESMEN.
c. Literature and Philosophy
Data were collected through a literature search of books,
the Internet and other media information associated with
the object for reference. This data can help adding more
knowledge and information in making the thesis.

Method of Analysis
Analyze the current system and the problem that occur
currently in PT.DJABESMEN and find the solution for the
problem.Analysis methods are used to refer to the book
Object - Oriented Analysis & Design with the Unified
Process,Satzinger et al(2010).

Method of Design
Using a design method based on Stage and Step Business
Intelligence Development Steps with the concept of the book
Moss(2003).

CONCLUSIONS
Based on the analysis and design of business intelligence has
been done on the PT. DJABESMEN , it can be concluded as follows :

With BI program that has been designed is intended to help
PT.DJABESMEN in determining the selling price by considering
the data as the reference .
•
BI program can provide a more detailed sales reports and more
informative form of the dashboard so that decisions can be made
quickly .
•
BI program can makes the decision from the PT DJABESMEN
more effective and fast with the realiable source.
•
PT. DJABESMEN need improvement for their Sales Forecast and
their get it from the BI program.
•
BI program helps their analysis about how their Customers order the
product.
ADVICE
After researchers conducted analyzes on PT. DJABESMEN , as
for suggestions that can be provided by the researcher are as follows :
•
Maintenance of meta data is essential if do not want to always rely
on the IT staff in the operation of a computer system and reduce
user errors in the use of the program.
•
Perform periodic maintenance on the data to eliminate data
redundancy and to make the data always clean so that the program
can be run in accordance with BI desired .
•
Development of BI applications can be combined with the
information or other business aspects .
