Out of which 25 years in sales & marketing. Elected within just three years, to lead the national sales & marketing team based on performance of strategic account developments, streamlining distribution & logistic function, suggesting & implementing promotional strategies and very aggressive sales call planning. Won consecutively ‘ Best salesman’ award three years. Lead team of over 40 sales engineers and 250 dealers in developing continuously strategic business & marketing plans, organized trade shows, seminars, very successful promotional campaigns of new brands. 2. Birla Kennametal- India (1986 – 1992)…. Gen Mgr – Sales & Marketing. Conducted intensive market research & evaluation, developed sales and distribution network, brand and price positioning, deployment of growth strategies and established a market leadership from ground ‘Zero’ for Rotating tooling in a highly competitive market flooded with many small & big manufactures. Developed and implemented successful marketing strategies aptly nicknamed as “Operated- MOSSAD” to launch KMT- Hertel metal working products in identified optimal target markets and achieved a breakeven sales volume in less than three years, fighting against all odds in a reversionary market dominated by big players. Developed exports for rotating tooling from a position of ‘negative’ strength to almost current strong level of 95% of total sales volume through effective price and product marketing and relationship selling, bringing in addition ebit’s to the organization as well as establishing it today as the most preferred source. 3. (Birla Kennametal, India 1993 – 2003)….. President. Established company’s strategic vision, mission and core values and revolutionalised a cultural change in the organization in all the spheres of quality & productivity, performance & efficiency, growth & profitability. Spearheaded ISO 9000, ISO 14001, Lean, and 5S+ land TPM activities developing in-house faculties. A team managed and KPI driven company had been maintaining over 15% sales growth, 18% EBIT & 28% PWC for several years with a very positive outlook ahead. 4. Kennametal Inc, Singapore (2003 –2005).. Marketing Director – Asia Pacific. Coordinated and implemented marketing plans in Asia-Pacific region – including brand-channel strategies, product/market strategies, promotions, MarCom (Literatures, Shows, Publicity/Advts), new product introductions, product/CAP trainings – organizing best of global resources for meeting local needs as well as consolidating & voicing regional issues to influence global strategies. Very successfully supported company initiatives to move towards a market orientation, market segmentations, strategic initiative processes, SG&A reduction programs and PLCO management which, in many ways, helped the region in top line and bottom line growth over 20%. 5. Kennametal- Asean, Singapore (June 2005 – March 2008).. Managing Director – Asean. Created a Pan-Asean organization with territory realignments and strategic redeployment of sales team. Introduced new pricing and distribution policy for multi-brand channel strategy. Developed market segment focused sales strategies with distinct Value propositions and differentiations. Achieved sales growth of over 20% during first year. 6. Walter Tools India Pvt Ltd….. (May 2008 till Aug 2014)… Managing Director Restructured the entire organization to be very dynamic & customer orientated. Tripled the turnover in just 5 years Launched a Mission to Quadruplicate business by 2020 7. Birla Precision Technologies Limited ….(Dec 2014 till date) ….. Business Advisor . Advisor to Yash Birla group company in matters of strategic planning, new product developments, business development, organizational development etc. Other Achievements: Student council member in Govt Engg college, Aurangabad Founder President of ‘Giants social group’ in town and won ‘Outstanding President’ award among all international groups for useful & unique social services. Founder President of ‘Giants education society’ providing education to over 800 students belonging to workers family in industrial area with an impressive track record of being best school in the area.
