award to people who sell healthy food without additives dangerous mix.
3.6 Describe the digestive system as well as its association with the respiratory system,
circulatory system, and energy usage food.
4.6 Conduct investigations of mechanical and enzymatic digestion on food.
C. INDICATORS OF LEARNING
3.6.1 Mention the organ that make up the digestive system with critical and cooperative.
3.6.2 Explain process the human digestive with independently and responsibility.
D. LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1. Students can mention the organ that make up the digestive system
2. Students can explain the process of digestion in the human body.
E. MATERIAL
The digestive system breaks food down into molecules the body can use. Proteins are
split into amino acids. Carbohydrates are reduced to simple sugars. Fats are split into
glycerol and fatty acids. These nutrients are then absorbed into the blood and transported to
all the cells of the body.
The digestive system is a group of organs that takes in and digests food, and
eliminates solid wastes. The organs of digestive system are the mouth, pharynx, esophagus,
stomach, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, large intestine, small intestine, appendix, rectum, anus.
1. Chemical digestion begins in the mouth with salivary amylase in saliva splitting complex
carbohydrates into simple carbohydrates.
2. The pharynx the next destination for food you've eaten. From here, food travels to
the esophagus.
3. By means of a series of contractions, called peristalsis, the esophagus delivers food to
the stomach.
4. The stomach is a sac-like organ with strong muscular walls. The stomach secretes acid
and powerful enzymes that continue the process of breaking down the food. From there
the food moves to the small intestine.
5. Small Intestine consist of three segments, the duodenum, jejunum, and ileum. The small
intestine continues the process of breaking down food by using enzymes released by the
pancreas and bile from the liver.
6. Muscles push these waste products into the large intestine. The large intestine absorbs
water and any remaining nutrients and changes the waste from liquid into stool. The
final section of the large intestine, terminating at the anus. The anus stores stool until it
pushes stool out of the body during a bowel movement.
