Note:
In order to have a direct object, there needs to be an
action verb, not a linking verb.
Subject = who or what + predicate

Indirect Object = Subj. + Pred. + Dir. Obj. for whom or what
Dad bought ice cream for me
Note:
The indirect object is usually a noun or pronoun that comes after
the predicate, and before the direct object.
