Planetary predictions

I HAVE received hundreds of email and calls from readers who seek to alleviate their
suffering through ancient sciences like Vasthu Sastra and astrology.
Some attributed their woes to the poor Vasthu Sastra orientation of their house while
others blamed it on their fate and destiny.
My advise is to ease such challenges by applying the science of astrology which is
interconnected with Vasthu.
It is vital that every dweller has his or her horoscope forecasted and understands the
influence of planetary movements. This is because the study of planets can indicate the
results of our past, present and future actions.
In Vasthu Sastra, the science of time (astrology) is incorporated to determine an
individual’s auspicious and inauspicious periods and to find answers to the challenges the
person is facing.
This is determined through calculation based on the date, time and place of birth of the
individual.
This analysis – using the Hindu system – is carried out to shed light on uncertainties. It
forecast the future of an individual so that he or she can use the predictions as a life
guide.
Astronomy is the foundation of astrology and it is highly recommended that
breadwinners, in particular, have such charts done so that they are prepared for good and
bad times.
A horoscope reading is similar to a weather forecast, so it ensures that one is ready with
an umbrella in case of rain or any change in the weather pattern!
The same goes for astrology. If a person has his horoscope written, he would be more
prepared to handle difficult times and not make irrational decisions based on gut feelings
or a disturbed frame of mind.
I have seen many people who have made decisions to migrate, given up jobs and
ventured into business, gotten into partnerships or marriage based on their mood and
feelings, only to find later that it was the wrong decision.
Astrology is not about guesswork, but is based on mathematical calculations and the
movement of planets that are linked to events in the life of each individual.
Besides these numerological and astronomical observations, an astrologer will also be
guided by his power of intuition to provide answers.
The solar system is headed by the Sun and consists of the Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter,
Venus and Saturn. Along with these are the shadowy planets of Rahu (Dragon head) and
Kethu (Dragon tail).
The ecliptic is divided into 12 houses, which make up the signs of the zodiac.
The influence of the 12 houses
First house: This house signifies life, longevity, health as well as the nature and
appearance of an individual. Other attributes are complexion, vitality, sorrow, gains and
profits to younger brothers and friends. It governs the head and face.
Second house: It indicates financial position, as well as early life, speech, servants and
friends. It also denotes eyesight, family unity, inheritance, lawsuits, and domestic
comforts. This house governs the throat and right eye.
Third house: It indicates younger brothers and sisters and their relations.
It signifies courage, intelligence, higher education, taste for writing, ornaments, clothes
and travels. Body parts in this house are the arms, right ear and shoulders.
Fourth house: It signifies the mother, property, conveyance, domestic surroundings and
happiness. It represents the breasts, chest, lungs, stomach and elbow joints.
Fifth house: Children, speculation, intellectual status, pleasure, love affairs and luck are
gauged from this house. It governs the belly, heart and liver.
Sixth house: It is responsible for enemies, health, servants, uncle, aunts and relations on
the father’s side. The body parts denoted are the kidneys, large intestines, uterus and
anus.
Seventh house: Covers matters regarding a person’s spouse, partnership and conjugal
happiness. It also denotes marriage, married life, love, litigation, divorce, honour and
reputation in a foreign country. Body parts are the private parts, uterus and glands.
Eighth house: Diseases, finances through unfair means, internal organs, longevity,
mental pain, obstacles, mode of death, imprisonment, worries and privation are checked
from this house. It also indicates body parts like the scrotum, pelvis, seminal vesicles and
external genitalia.
Ninth house: It indicates religion, foreign travel, publicity, teachers, higher education,
learning, writing books, faith, wisdom, prosperity, powers of foresight and religious
institutions. Hips and thighs are the body parts.
Tenth house: This important house indicates the father, profession, status in life,
activities outside the house, pleasure, honour, power and authority. All matters relating to
worldly activities and moral responsibilities are determined here. Body parts are knees,
joints, bones, hair and back.
Eleventh house: It accounts for accumulated wealth, elder brothers and sisters and the
relationship with them. Friends, financial gains, social activities, emotional attachment
and social success are determined by this house. Body parts are the legs, left ear, teeth
and ankle.
Twelfth house: It signifies enemies, relationships, lawsuits, imprisonment and liberation.
Body parts are the feet, left eye and teeth.
Planets
Planets are viewed in Indian astrology as a celestial body which has the property of
attraction. The Sun is regarded as a star and the Moon, a satellite of the earth. Rahu
(Dragon head) and Kethu (Dragon tail) are two imaginary points on the concourse of the
orbits of the Earth and Moon.
Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and others are considered to have no effect on human affairs.
Each planet has its own significance.
Vasthu talks
