Prof Andrzej Wojtowicz
graduated Dental Faculty at Warsaw Medical University. Till 1996 was an adjunct at the
Dept. Of Histology & Embriology and then at central Tissue Bank and Dept. Of
Transplantology. From 1981 running private practice AWClinic and courses for
implantology. He got his PhD in 1984 disserting influence of biphosphonates on
osteogenesis. His habilitation in 1996 delt with molecular aspects of remodeling jaw
bone and teeth eruption. In 1985-1986 did research on transplantation of stem cells for
osteogenesis pathologies at the Orlean University, France. In 1996-1997 did research for
NASA investigating bone remodeling under deprived gravity. Currently he collaborates
with NYU New York University Dental School in Continuous Education Program in
Implantology, Harward HSDM in Boston on growth factors. He is the editor of DTI
IMPLANTS magazine; He is the President of Polish Implantology Association OSIS and
scientific board member for European EDI Consensus Conferences.
He is the Head of Oral Surgery Dept. at Warsaw Medical University, Mazovia consultant
for Oral Surgery, author of over 240 publications and supported over 20 PhD
dissertations.
