[Education] and [Experience]
• Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, National Taiwan University, 2010–
• Postdoctoral Research Associate, Rutgers University, 2007–2010
• Ph.D. in Physics, Stanford University, 2001–2007
Thesis: Geometric Transitions, Topological Strings, and Generalized Complex Geometry
Advisors: Michael E. Peskin, Shamit Kachru
• B.S. in Physics, National Tsing-Hua University, Taiwan, first place upon graduation, 1998
• Military Service, Second Lieutenant in Armored Troops, 1999–2001
[Research Interests]
• My research focuses on mathematical physics, string theory, and mathematics inspired by
string theory. I have worked on string compactifications on new geometries, generalized complex geometry, mirror symmetry, topological strings and mathematical invariants on manifolds
related to string theory, such as generalized Donaldson-Thomas invariants. Right now I focus
on the moduli problems inspired or related to physics/string theory.
[Awards and Honors]
• Kenda Foundation Golden-Jade Fellowship
