Usernames are normally in the format FirstnameLastname – e.g. JoeBloggs. • Log in use – The same log in will access your PC, Email, Virtual Campus, ProMonitor, etc. • Email – Your email address will normally be in the format [email protected]. Intranet • Essential - The Intranet is essential to the smooth running of the college for staff. • ICT Call Logger – log issues relating to PC’s, Software, Printers, etc. These issues will be assigned to IT Services. Intranet Call Loggers • Room Booking & Timetabling Call Logger – log issues relating to room booking, timetabling, registers, etc. These issues will be assigned to the MIS team. • Top Tip - all computers have a unique number on them – this will help us identify problem computers. If your students cant access something – give us their student ID numbers. Intranet Phone Book • Employee Self Service – log in and request your annual leave dates. Leave is allocated in hours and will add up time taken and time due. ProMonitor Intranet • ProMonitor – is a software package which contains the students electronic individual learning plan and mark book data. ProMonitor • The Student Journey – is all logged on ProMonitor; ILP, SMART Targets, progress reviews, meetings, comments, grades, student details, support, etc. • ProMonitor – links to the other Pro programmes. The MIS department manage the ProMonitor software. If you do not then please call log the issue and IT Services and they will deal with the log. Virtual Campus Printing • PaperCut MF– Print files from any windows device remotely at any site. Use the Papercut software to select your document to print then add it to the print queue. Next simply log into a printer and select the job you wish to print from the print queue. Web Links: PaperCut >> PaperCut • Click-and-Collect - Select this to print and release your job from any of the photocopiers located around the sites. (Sign into the copiers using your staff ID badge). • WiFi– Wirral Met has WiFi set up throughout the college sites. • Access – simply log in using your username and password. Virtual Campus WiFi • Staff email - Wifi devices such as iPADs phones can be configured to receive staff email – documentation to do this is on the intranet. • Note - Windows laptops may need some extra steps to get them working – documentation can be found on the Intranet. These issues will be assigned to IT Services. • How do I access it? – watch this short movie which explains how to access it. Accessing the bulletin board >> • Messages – Included are staff official, staff general, student general. These are general messages which might be of interest to all. Web Links: Accessing the board >> Outlook • What is it? – The college bulletin board is a messaging system within your outlook email system. Virtual Campus College bulletin board • What does it include? – It includes links to resources which improves learning across the college. Resources and content change weekly. • Appearance – It appears on log in for Teaching staff. Simply close the board if you do not need it. It can also be accessed through the Intranet as well. Web Links: Staff Noticeboard >> Staff Noticeboard • What is it? – the staff noticeboard is mainly for Teaching staff. Virtual Campus Staff noticeboard • What is it? –The college has an internal phone system. Any call made between college phones are free of charge. Please only use the phone system for business or teaching use only. Intranet Telephony • Extensions - All our extensions are 4 digits long and start with the number 7 – e.g. 7777 – any of these numbers can be rung from the outside of the college by adding 0151 551 to the front – e.g. 0151 551 7777. • Voicemail - All Internal phones can have centralised voicemail with email notification and other features are available on all college phones – details of this can be found on the Staff Intranet. Web Links: Telephone documents >> Mitel IP Phone • Reports - The college does log all phone usage and reports can be requested by a manager. • What is it? –The college filters all Internet traffic and does block some sites as we have a duty of care to staff and students. • Recorded? - We record all Internet usage and this data can be requested by your manager. • Website blocked? -If you find that you can not get to a ‘Valid’ website, please inform ICT via the ICT call logger.
