No. 1/2009 Crimes Act 1958 Crimes (DNA Database) Amendment Regulations 2009 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 29 January 2009 Responsible Minister: ROB HULLS Attorney-General RYAN HEATH Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Crimes (DNA Database) Regulations 20021 to prescribe certain laws as corresponding laws for the purposes of the definition of corresponding laws in Part III of the Crimes Act 1958. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 464ZJ of the Crimes Act 1958. 3 Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 1 February 2009. 1 Crimes (DNA Database) Amendment Regulations 2009 r. 4 S.R. No. 1/2009 4 Corresponding laws In regulation 3 of the Crimes (DNA Database) Regulations 2002— (a) in paragraph (g)— (i) for "1998", substitute "2007"; and (ii) for "Australia." substitute "Australia;". (b) after paragraph (g) insert— "(h) Division 7 of Part VII of the Police Administration Act of the Northern Territory; (i) Division 3 of Part 2, and section 159 of the Youth Justice Act of the Northern Territory; (j) section 95B of the Prisons (Correctional Services) Act of the Northern Territory.". ═══════════════ 2 Crimes (DNA Database) Amendment Regulations 2009 S.R.
