National Dairy Shrine / Dairy Management, Inc. (DMI) Milk Marketing & Dairy Products Scholarship Application The National Dairy Shrine/DMI Milk Marketing and Dairy Products Scholarship is to encourage qualified undergraduate students to pursue careers in milk or dairy product marketing, dairy market enhancement or similar roles in the food industries. Major areas include Dairy/Agricultural Marketing and Dairy Foods or Food Product Science. The scholarship is available to any undergraduate student currently enrolled in their sophomore or junior year in a four year college with an explicit interest in the dairy industry. Students can only receive the NDS/DMI Milk Marketing & Dairy Products Scholarship only once. The applicant must have at least a cumulative 2.5 GPA (4.0 scale, accumulated or equivalent). One $1500 scholarship will be given. In addition, up to four $1000 scholarships will be awarded, total is to be determined by the number and quality of applications. The Scholarship will be paid when the winners are recognized at the National Dairy Shrine Awards Banquet. All Applications/Letters of Recommendation/Transcripts are accepted from March 1, until April 15, midnight, CST. Instructions for applying: 1. Download this application and type in your responses. Send two letters of recommendation with at least one a faculty member who is familiar with the applicant’s activities and academic achievements. Please have emailed to [email protected]. 3. Mail an official transcript showing all college courses and grades to be only viewed by the NDS Executive Director.
