PACKED WITH
PROTEIN
What is Protein?
Your body is full of protein. It makes up
your cells, muscles, skin, bones and
even your hair. Protein is composed of
20 building blocks known as amino acids,
11 of which the human body can make
on its own. Guess where the other
9 essential amino acids have to come
from? Your food!
Is Chobani a good
source of protein?
How much protein
do I need?
Due to its authentic straining process,
Chobani packs in a total of 13-18 g of
protein per 6 oz cup. Depending on the
flavor, that’s equivalent to 26-36% of the
daily value for protein! With more protein
than regular yogurt*, Chobani is the
perfect on-the-go fuel.
In general, people are encouraged to
get 10-35% of their total calories for
the day from protein. The Institute of
Medicine recommends the following
daily protein intake based on age
and gender seen in the chart below.

CALCIUM AND
VITAMIN D FOR
BONE HEALTH
Bone Health
It’s important to make sure students are getting
the proper nutrition to build strong bones.
From ages 9-18, children build the majority of
their bone mass, making this a critical time for
bone health.
Calcium and Vitamin D
Because your body uses calcium to build bone,
increasing calcium intake during childhood
can help support bone health. Vitamin D helps
your body absorb calcium so it’s a key part of
bone health.
How Much Calcium
and Vitamin D?
Check out the chart to see where students fall for
recommended calcium intake.

It’s also recommended that kids ages 1-18 get 600 IU
vitamin D daily.
Where can I find
Calcium & Vitamin D?
Dairy products such as milk, yogurt and cheese are good sources of calcium. Although
a major source of vitamin D is from the sun, many foods such as cereal, juice, milk and
yogurt are fortified with vitamin D.
Authentic strained Chobani® 4 oz. cups are a good source of calcium and an excellent
source of vitamin D for K-12 students.* Each 4 oz. cup of Chobani provides 10% of the daily
value for calcium, while Strawberry and Blueberry varieties provide 20% of the daily value
for vitamin D. So grab a spoon and dig in for some bone-building nutrition!
* Excellent source of Vitamin D refers to Strawberry and Blueberry flavors.
