Calcium Hydrogen Phosphate, Vitamin D
DESCRIPTION: OStrong
is a nutrition supplement of calcium, phosphorus and vitamin D
daily requirements.
ACTIONS: OStrong contains calcium and phosphorus, which are important anabolic substances for the human organism, particularly for the teeth and bones. The phosphorus component
is complexed with calcium providing rapid break of the chemical bond in the body to deliver calcium and phosphorus seperately. The proportion of calcium, phosphorus and vitamin D is adequate
for the intestinal absorption of the product and its resulting efficacy.
INDICATIONS: OStrong is indicated to prevent calcium and vitamin D deficiencies. It
is indicated in children for the prevention of rickets, in periods of rapid growth, part i c ularly with insufficient exposure to sunlight.
In adults, it is used to prevent osteomalacia, during pregnancy and lactation, in night
workers, in aged and diseased persons rarely moving about outdoors and also during the
sunless months.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: OStrong is contraindicated in babies and infants suff e r i n g
f rom hypothyroidism and idiopathic hypercalcemia.
PRECAUTIONS: OStrong should not be administered with food (milk products) or
d rugs containing vitamin D. Care should be exercised in patients suffering from kidney
stones, art e r i o s c l e rosis and cardiac diseases.
ADVERSEREACTIONS:
GI disturbances (bloating, diarrhea, sensation of satiety).
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:
1 tablet of OStrong d a i l y, or as prescribed by the physician.
* The tablet is to be swallowed with a glass of water.
DRUG INTERACTIONS:
OStrong should not be administered concurrently with tetracycline antibiotics, or iro n
supplements because it reduces their absorption.
AVAILABILITY:
Tablets: Packs of 60 tablets, each tablet containing Calcium Hydrogen Phosphate 600 mg, Vitamin
D3 500 I.U., Excipient q.s. 1 tablet.
