Earth, but it varies widely among cultures in style and structure.
Definitions of music can change dramatically over a short time,
as they have across the world during the 20th century.

trumpet, bassoon, trombone, dutar, doira.

instrument it is.
4. To introduce types of music: pop music, opera, classical
music, jazz, rock, country music.
5. Pupils interview each other what types of music they like/
don`t like and why using the phrases ‘it makes me+adj / it
makes me+verb’.
6. To practice listening: listen the music and say what types of
music it is.
7. Hand out manipulative material to pupils.
8. To introduce great composers of the world and famous
bands.
Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky
Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s work combined Russian and European
influences. His music was the first by a Russian to be included
regularly in concert programs in Europe. Tchaikovsky’s music for
the ballets The Nutcracker (1891-1892) and Swan Lake (1876) is
some of the best-known classical music of all time.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, an 18th-century Austrian classical
composer and one of the most famous musicians of all time, came from
a family of musicians that included his father and sister. Mozart wrote
masses, oratorios, symphonies, concertos, sonatas, and more, but he is
best known for his operas.
Ludwig van Beethoven
Ludwig van Beethoven is considered possibly the greatest
Western composer of all time. He wrote symphonies, concertos,
chamber music, sonatas, and vocal music. His best-known
composition is the Ninth Symphony with its passionate chorus,
the Ode to Joy. Beethoven began to lose his hearing in the 1790s
and was completely deaf by 1818.
Frédéric François Chopin
Polish-born French composer Frédéric Chopin began to
study piano at age four, in 1814. Chopin’s compositions,
nearly all of which were written for piano, are romantic
and lyrical.
7. To speak about cities which are connected with music.
New Orleans
New Orleans is the largest city in Louisiana, the
USA.It stands on the bank of the river Mississippi.
New Orleans is a home of jazz. Jazz is a mixture of
blues, dance songs and hymns. Black musicians
started to play jazz in the late 19th century. Louis
Armstrong and Jelly Roll Morton came from the
city. New Orleans is most famous for its jazz, but it
also has a philharmonic orchestra.
Vienna
State Opera House, Vienna
The State Opera House in Vienna is one of
several performance halls for which this city is
famous. Built between 1861 and 1869, the
Opera House was inaugurated with a
performance of Mozart’s Don Giovanni on May
25, 1869.
Vienna was the music capital of the world for
many centuries. Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven,
Brahms, Schubert, and Strauss family all
came to work here. It is now the home of one
of the world`s most famous orchestra, the
Vienna Philharmonic. Its State Opera house is
also world famous.
Liverpool
Liverpool is Britain’s second biggest port,
after London. It stand on the River Mersey.
Liverpool’s most famous musicians are The
Beatles. In the 1960s British rock group was
famous all over the world. They had 30 top
ten hits. They were all born in Liverpool and
started the group there in 1959. They first
played at a night club called the Cavern and
then travelled the world. One of them Paul
McCartney, is now the richest musician in the
world. Many tourists visit Liverpool to see the
homes of the Beatles.
