QC/QA technician (temporary 12 months) – Vancouver
As a QA/QC technician your mandate is to establish, implement and monitor quality
management programs to ensure compliance with internal, regulatory, and customer
quality requirements.
To do so, he will:
- Responsible for the development of BRC Food Safety Programs;
- Provide training and implementation of food safety and quality management
programs;
- Be the liaison with other departmental managers/supervisors to ensure
compliance to food safety and quality management programs;
- Establish work instructions and SOPs;
- Maintain and update food safety and quality management programs as required;
- Monitor, verify and document quality control activities;
- Investigate deviations, determine root causes and implement corrective actions;
- Carry out administrative duties as associated with the position;
- Perform sanitation and pre-operational verifications;
- Other duties as assigned;
Requirements:
-
Bachelor degree in Food Science/Technology
Minimum 3 years experience in QA/QC activities
Possess good laboratory techniques and skills
Experience with quality management programs such as HACCP, GMP, GFSI
standards
Knowledgeable with the Canadian Food and Drug Regulations
Possess excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English
Must have good command of MS Office and Excel
Possess good administrative skills and be detail oriented.
