Survey Technician II
Ulteig is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Survey Technician II to work out of our
Cedar Rapids, IA office.
The Survey Technician II works independently to operate survey equipment and perform routine
surveying tasks under the direction of the crew chief. Performs skilled work in surveying, both in the
field and in the office. Acts as an instrument operator and may function as a crew chief when required.
Completes a variety of survey tasks including operating survey instruments and tools. May guide,
manage or be assisted by less experienced survey technicians.
Education and Work Experience
Associates of Science degree in Surveying or equivalent preferred. Must have a Minimum of 2 years of
experience. Registered as a Certified Survey Technician II (CSTII) preferred. Demonstrated ability to
instruct/coach survey crew members on how to perform the aspects of their job they may not yet be
skilled in, particularly, the standard to which the company surveys. Proven experience in Microsoft
Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access), AutoCAD preferred.
