Curriculum Vitae
Since his youth Bogdanovich has always had the attention of an international audience by eliciting surprise
and admiration, not only for perfect control of his instrument, for knowledge of style and the beauty of its
sound, but for his ability to graps the musical essence in the compositions he performed by adding an
emotional touch to make each piece personal. Most likely this is one of the reasons whu in his home country
they called him “ The Genius of Color”. However his Serb origin (Novi Sad- Vojvodina) Bogdanovich come
from high russian scholl. He study with the world famous violinist M° Viktor Tretiakov. V. Trtiakov said
about him: “Dejan is a musisian of great refinement and artistry. Much of this is due to the originality and fullness of his
musical ideas and to his complete control of every period in music... His deep creative feelings always communicate to me
something new... Dejan is without doubt the herald of the new age of violinists.”
He made his debut at the age of 10 years and, at 17, played the violin concerto no. 1 by Paganini with the
Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra. Since then he has been soloist with many symphony orchestras in Europe,
Russia and Canada. At just 19 years old he was winner at the International Competition in Vienna and
Zagreb. He is regulary guest at prestige international festivals. He has done recital work with piano playing
in Canada, USSR, (Grand Tourneé in 1985) Hungary, Cechoslovakia, Finland, France, Italy, Spain, Austria,
and Germany. His great love of chamber music has brought him together with musicians such as B.
Greenhous, V. Mendelssohn, A. Liberman, D. Asciola, J. Gandelsmann, , K. Bogino, L.Pogorelich, T.
Zehetmair, M. Kugel, M. Flaksman, P. Gaoloa, P.H. Xuereb...
His last Cd “Virtuosismo e Meditazione-Live in Italy” is earning a big success between audience and critic.
He has held numerous courses in Italy in Bolzano, Siracusa, Padova, Portogruaro, Venezia, Trieste, Salerno,
and Pesaro.
