Business/Unit Summary
Mercer's Investment business is a leading provider of investment consulting and fiduciary
management services. We offer customised advice and support at every stage of the
investment decision, risk management and investment monitoring process. In addition to
core consulting, we have developed a number of specialist teams thereby ensuring we offer
a full range of services to our clients.
Investment Consultants
Due to continued growth of the business we have a number of roles currently available in
our Investment Consulting team. The investment consultant roles are based in our Dublin
office and the successful candidates will provide investment consulting advice to pension
funds and other institutional investors on a wide range of investment strategy and
implementation issues.
Responsibilities
 Managing a portfolio of clients on a day-to-day basis, providing pro-active advice
and recommendations on a range of complex issues.
 Assisting senior consultants in managing large clients / complex projects.
 Meeting clients to review current investment arrangements, discuss market
/industry developments and potential changes to consider / implement.
 Overseeing implementation aspects of investment strategy changes.
 Liaising with colleagues across business lines to achieve successful investment
outcomes for our clients.
 Contributing to sales, revenue and NOI targets of the Business.
Requirements
 The ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
 Knowledge of investment trends and developments.
 Ability to effectively manage multiple client deadlines / requirements and to ensure
client service expectations are met.


Team player who can delegate effectively; collaborate with colleagues from
different business lines; and develop client focussed solutions with input from
various parties.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years experience in investment consulting /
pensions consulting. Investment management or insurance experience would also
be suitable.
Qualifications
 Would suit recently qualified CFA / Actuary.
 Other qualifications such as a masters in finance / economics (or similar) or pensions
qualifications would also be suitable.
 Should hold the QFA qualification (or be grandfathered from it), or be willing to gain
the qualification over the short-term.
