HOA and Community Association Recommended Plant List Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ Program Remember to always follow the Right Plant, Right Place principle when choosing plants for your landscape. Creating a plan and selecting plants that match your yard’s soil, light, water and climactic conditions will ensure landscape success. Not every plant works for every yard—even in the same subdivision. This list of low-maintenance, low water use plants work well in deed-restricted communities and stay within many design guidelines.
