Flowers Buttercups • Buttercup (Latin Ranúnculus) - a genus of plants of the family Ranunculaceae (Latin: Ranunculaceae). Annual or perennial, aquatic or terrestrial herbs with acrid and sometimes poisonous juice. Sometimes, in the popular Russian literature, as the name of this sort is used a scientific Latin name "ranunkulyus" (rarely "ranunkulus"). The name Ranunculus is late Latin for "little frog," from rana "frog" and a diminutive ending. This probably refers to many species being found near water, like frogs. Buttercups are usually flowers in the spring, but flowers may be found throughout the summer. Daisies • Daisy - a name for several common wildflowers of the Asteraceae or Compositae family with bright white petals and darker yellow tubular middle. This is a low European plant, cultivated in the United States mostly in the double form, with heads of white, pink, or red flowers. The English daisy, which closes at night, has long been considered the flower of children and of innocence. A purple species native to the lower Mississippi basin is called Western daisy. They are traditionally displayed in homes during Easter season, symbol of blamelessness. They provide protection against fairies. Snowdrop • Snowdrop, Galanthus, or (Latin Galanthus) - a genus of perennial herbs of the Amaryllidaceae family(Amaryllidac eae). It includes 18 species. In the former Soviet Union there were 12 species. All species of Galanthus are perennial, herbaceous plants which grow from bulbs. Snowdrops contain also an active lectin or agglutinin named GNA for Galanthus nivalis agglutinin. Potatoes have been genetically modified with the GNA gene.Celebrated as a sign of spring, snowdrops can form impressive carpets of white in areas where they are native or have been naturalised. The flower grows in man • Plants help you feel at home, as in nature. Every woman tries to have flowers at home to create the desired comfort. But the flowers are needed to be taken care of, otherwise they risk to fade or die. Blooming flowers at home can help improve bad mood. People feel more compassionate toward others, have less worry and anxiety, feel less depressed and agitated when fresh-cut flowers are present in the house. Flowers have an immediate impact on happiness. Living with flowers can provide a boost of energy, happiness and enthusiasm at work.
