In practice they are not.” Albert Einstein Partners from professional community • The Republic Institute for Social Protection • Center for Independent Living of PWDs Serbia • The Association of Social Protection Professionals in Serbia • Association of Centers for Social Work of Serbia Following the objectives of the Project In accordance with the main objective: • Strengthen higher education in the field of social policy making and social services delivery by developing new study programmes, improving existent study programmes and establish effective links between academic programs and social and labour market needs. as well as with the specific objectives, but specially for the following one: • To initiate and prepare material for the future national qualification standards and mutually adjusting national jobs classification and educational profiles of students in the field of social policy and social service delivery. the partners from the professional community made their contribution to the project Professional Community role • to emphasize what practice show • to determine what is the offer and what is the demand • to clarify the existing requirements by society/social protection system from social work(ers) • to bring closer the user’s perspective and their expectations from social workers • to represent personal perspective of social workers / practitioners in the social welfare system and to underline the relevance of all those issues for the Curriculum in social work education The leading point… To support academic community in giving proper response to the society expectations: To "produce" experts who will act in accordance with those which promote the science and practice of social work – professionals qualified to: • social changes • solving social problems • empowerment of individuals and social groups • action towards achieving well-being for all and capable to intervene where an individual enters into interact with their environment: • preventing the occurrence of damage and • It’s elimination Partnership among us • respect for each other’s experience and expertise • open and ongoing constructive communication • trust • clarity about roles • agreed goals or purpose • openness to different views and perspectives and willingness to learn from others • commitment to permanently developing relationships What we have concluded together • in social protection all of professional workers are equally important • so strengthening of education in the field of social work should emphasize also the process of education of psychologists, educators, sociologists, adult educators, special educators, lawyers ... in order to make them understand the common interests, that could really contribute to the multidisciplinary holistic approach to contemporary social work Thank You in the name of all partners from the professional community
