JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE:
RETAIL ADMINISTRATOR
RESPONSIBLE TO:
RETAIL MANAGER
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Support the retail management team by performing administrative
duties including data and stock maintenance of the EPoS system
and web sales
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintaining accurate stock control on the EPoS system including the inputting of all stock adjustments
such as orders, deliveries, wastages etc.

Monitoring the accuracy of the EPoS system including cost and sale pricing, product grouping, vat
rates and other properties, advising the EPoS/Trading Support team of inaccuracies or other issues

Check for upcoming promotions, offers and deals, collating the necessary details for programming
onto the EPoS system, notifying the EPoS/Trading Support team in a timely manner

Ensuring the Coop ordering system is operational and accurate including order transmission at the
correct times etc.

Completing and submitting relevant Coop paperwork and supporting documentation for the claiming
of discounts and retro’s for multibuys etc. in the appropriate timescales.

Maintaining EPoS based PoS such as shelf edge labelling etc.

Reporting of faulty or poorly functioning EPoS equipment and systems, monitoring progress of their
repair or replacement

Ordering of consumables e.g. shelf edge labels, carrier bags, clothing and PoS

Review product, sales and clerk reports and advise as necessary

Reviewing cost pricing and advising and having these updated in a timely manner where necessary

Work with management to facilitate stocktakes, entering and reviewing stock count data

Conducting stock line checks as appropriate and/or facilitating management to do so

Facilitating any auditors reviewing or investigating EPoS, stock or data control or accuracy

Working with the EPoS/Trading Support team to make non-scan sellable in a timely manner

Helping management where necessary to conduct other administrative tasks such as rota and
timesheet completion

Working Tri Campus, covering where necessary in an operational capacity as required

Maintenance of the web shop including the uploading and updating of content, products and stock

Processing of web orders including packaging, dispatch/postage, returns and client liaison etc.

Ensure that the back office areas are kept in a clean and tidy condition and adhere to the
organisation’s health and safety policies

It is expected that the post holder will conduct their duties in a positive manner and with an attitude that
is conducive to creating a pleasant working environment. This includes maintaining appropriate manners
and etiquette between themselves, customers and colleagues. The post-holder should be able to give and
