Specialty consulting firm focusing on the financial services industry with an emphasis on developing
growth and restructuring strategies including capital planning; mergers and acquisitions and risk
management.
CapGen Financial, New York City, NY 2008-2012
Senior Investment Strategist at $500 million, over $400 invested private equity fund focused on
community and regional bank investments. Key duties included strategic planning, evaluation of
investments, acquisition screening, regulatory relations, due diligence, integration, capital raising and
investor relations.
ABN AMRO Bank N.V., Chicago and Amsterdam 1983-2007
LaSalle Bank, Chicago (2007), Managing Director, Executive Vice President, Head of Enterprise
Risk Management (ERM) for the $100B+ regional bank. Established and implemented initial ERM
program for the Bank.
ABNAMRO Bank, Amsterdam (2006-2007) – Managing Director, Executive Vice president, Global
Head of Capital Management. Established and implemented capital management dashboard to mange
capital including securitization, dividends and buybacks. Managed the Euro 10B Shield mortgage
and Euro 7B small business securitizations to improve the Bank’s capital position.
ABNAMRO Bank, Amsterdam (2003-2006) - Managing Director, Executive Vice President, Global
Head of the Structured Risk Initiative responsible for the planning, structuring and approval of
complex credit proposals including leveraged buyouts, securitization and infrastructure finance.
ABNAMRO Amsterdam (2001-2002) - Senior Vice President, Global head of Risk Management for
automobiles, consumer products and diversified firms (North and South America). Managed team
approved transactions and monitored portfolio.
ABNAMRO, Chicago (1993-2001) Senior Vice President, Regional Head of Structured Products
Group. Responsible for origination and structuring of securitization and leveraged transactions.
Securitization – established and ran Windmill Funding Corporation, a multibillion dollar
asset-backed commercial paper program. Completed Loop ($5B) and Pool ($7B)
securitization programs involving commercial loan portfolios to improve capital efficiency.
Involved substantial legal, rating agency, accounting, and investor exposure.
Leveraged transactions – established and ran a $4.5B portfolio of leveraged transactions.
This included origination, structuring and portfolio monitoring.
LaSalle Bank, Chicago (1988-1992) - Regional Head of Strategic Planning and Vice President
responsible for developing Strategic Plans and the negotiation, documentation, due diligence, and
integration of over $600MM of bank acquisitions.

state Midwest area including Chicago.
LaSalle Bank, Chicago (1983-1984) - Head of Lease Financing and Loan Officer responsible for
leasing finance activities.
