Comprehensive Breast Center
This center is a part of James Cancer Hospital & Solove Research
Institute. We offer breast patients a full range of services, with the
support of many specialists. A list of professionals, services, contacts
and what to bring to your first visit is included in this letter.
As a patient, you may work with various departments and have help
from many professionals. One of these is a surgical oncologist who
works in the Division of Surgical Oncology. This is a surgeon who
has completed advanced training to care for cancer patients. Your
physician may have referred you to a surgical oncologist if you have a
breast problem, are at risk for cancer, have a pre-cancerous condition,
or have had a cancer diagnosis. All of the surgical oncologists at The
James have completed specialized training and are board-certified.

Where to go and what to bring:
Patients should report to The Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast
Center, located at 1145 Olentangy River Road, unless otherwise directed.
For your first visit, please obtain copies of:
• Pertinent pathology reports and pathology slides
• Pertinent X-rays/scans (films and reports)
• Mammograms (films and reports)
• Pertinent recent lab tests
Please bring these items with you to your first physician visit. If your
referring physician or lab prefers to send this information ahead of your
