INSTRUCTIONS FOR WORLD WAR II FOLDABLE Neatness and creativity count as part of your grade on this foldable. The foldable does not have a lot of extra room in some places so be sure to place your information carefully. 1. Glue # 1-7 with lines on the bottom left of the front. Find the map of Europe with areas numbered on it. Glue this to the middle left front side of the foldable. 2. Glue # 1-9 with lines on the bottom right of the front. Find the map of Asia with areas numbered on it. Glue this to the middle right front side of the foldable. 3. Over top of each map, write BATTLES. 4. Open the foldable and on the top left inside column, write EUROPEAN THEATER. Label the top right inside column: PACIFIC THEATER. 5. On the inside middle section, glue the European map and the Asia map (without numbers). Use maps in your text on page 492, 499 and 508 to color in the following on both maps: a. Color the Axis Powers. c. Color the areas controlled by the Axis Powers in 1942. b. Color Vichy France. d. Color the Allied Powers (not occupied by Axis forces) Create a key below the two maps. 6. Below the key for the two maps, write in the middle inside column, North African Theater. Below the title, write the following: Two Reasons Why the Axis Powers Wanted to Control North Africa. Write in your answer: Control of the Suez Canal, Capture Middle Eastern oil. Then write the name of the major battle: El Alamein, and its description: Turning point in North Africa, Defeat of the Afrika Corps. 7. Match the following battles to their descriptions found below.
