Students study the national curriculum and through this we aim to develop in our students: A positive attitude towards mathematics as well as competence and confidence in mathematical knowledge, concepts and skills. An understanding of mathematics through a process of enquiry and experiment. An ability to solve problems, to reason, to think logically and to work systematically and logically. The skills to use their own initiative and an ability to work both independently and in co-operation with others. An ability to communicate through mathematics, and to use and apply mathematics across the curriculum and in real life. Key Stage 3 Maths A 2 year course with intention to adequately prepare students for success at KS4. Students will study: Algebra Geometry and Measures Number Ratio, Proportion & Rates of Change Statistics and Probability Key Stage 4 Maths A three year KS4 course with a programme of study designed to yield maximum attainment. This is an opportunity for the entrants to prove their problem solving ability against thousands of peers across the country.
