Position Description: Payroll Administrator
Reports To: Vice President of Administration

Job Summary
Oversee payroll administration and database administration for appropriate system(s).
Essential Job Functions


















Review time sheets, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll
discrepancies.
Review payroll data from current payroll system and ensure accuracy and when necessary seek
out appropriate correction for system problems.
Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors.
Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information in appropriate
system(s).
Keep track of leave time, such as vacation, personal, and sick leave, for employees.
Process and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions. Ensure all
information is inputted and accurate.
Receive, process, and enter all wage garnishments and distribute payments as required.
Audit direct deposit information for organization and make corrections as needed.
Provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues, and other related
Human Resources functions.
Assist current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working
conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
Maintain records and compile reports concerning employee-related data such as hires, transfers,
performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
Input required data into various computer systems in order to complete functions of the position.
Provide guidance to others in department as it relates to payroll.
Adhere to all state and federal laws related to employment, payroll, and tax laws.
Maintain information stored in current system(s) related to payroll, attendance, and other related
human resource functions.
Create and run reports from appropriate system(s) as needed.
Perform maintenance in system(s) as needed and report issues through appropriate online ticket
process.
Work with Finance department to reconcile all payroll and GL related issues.
Qualifications/Experience/Job Knowledge





High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred;
Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant human resource experience required. Previous experience
completing payroll process preferred.
Combination of education and experience will be considered.
Must be able to read and understand work related documents.
Working knowledge of Windows 7, Office 2010 applications. Aptitude to learn other software
programs as required for this position.
Employment Variables
Must have a good driving record which meets the minimum requirements for Evergreen and reliable
transportation. Must pass drug screen and criminal background check. Must be able to work some
evenings when required. Overnight travel may be required.
