Part A
The Roman pantheon is made up of the Roman gods and goddesses who live on Mt. Olympus.
There are Greek counterparts to all of the Roman gods. For part A, read pages 68-69 of your
textbook, then complete the following chart on a spearate sheet of paper. You may type it if you
wish, but it is not a requirement that it be typed. You must find the Roman name, what they are the
god(dess) of, what symbols are sacred to them or represent them, who they are related to (who are
their parents, brothers and sisters, husbands/wives), and 5+ other facts or characteristics of the
god(dess). In addition to using the book as a source, you must use at least 2 other sources (3 if you
use wikipedia) and cite them according to the standard MLA citation techniques.

Part B
1. Design 2 baseball trading cards for 2 Roman gods or goddesses. You can choose 2 gods, 2
goddesses, or one of each! What to do:Use ½ of a sheet of letter size (8.5” x 11”) plain paper or card stock
(thicker paper) for each card. The front of your baseball trading card will have a picture of your god or
goddess, and their name. Make sure that the name is easy to read and fairly large. The back of your baseball
trading card will tell the following information:
o What they are the god or goddess of
o What other gods and goddesses they are related to and how they are related
o Any special days or symbols associated with the god or goddess
o A VERY BRIEF summary of any legend associated with the god or goddess
o 2 other interesting bits of information or facts
**You need to colour the picture and name, and write all “back of the card” information in full sentences.**
2. Write a biographical poem about 2 Roman god(desse)s. This uses a simple structure to describe the
most important facts about a person. You may choose any 2 gods or goddesses about which to write your
poems EXCEPT Aphrodite, because she is in the example below. Your final copy must be written or typed
neatly and must include a colored picture of the god/goddess that the poem is about. Other decorations are
greatly appreciated as long as they are in good taste. Here is the format for the poem that you should follow
exactly:
