SCENE #2: Mesopotamia
Explorer Z1: Who are those people over there?
Skeleton Z1: Ahh, well that's good question! Those are the
Sumerians from the land of Mesopotamia. Those guys are the big
bosses.
Gilgamesh Z1: People! People! Work with me now! We have got to
work together!
Enkidu Z1: Gilgamesh is right, everybody. By working together, we
can make sure that nobody messes with Mesopotamia!
Gilgamesh Z1: Well put, Enkidu! Well, put!
Enkidu Z1: Thank you, sir!
Gilgamesh Z1: Now, look. We’ve got rivers on both sides of this plain.
And what are they called?
All: Rivers!
Gilgamesh Z2: I know that! But what are the names of those rivers?
All: The Tigris and the Euphrates.
Gilgamesh Z2: “A” plus! I am so proud of all of you! At this rate, we
should be able to build a civilization that lasts for thousands of years,
right here between our own two rivers!
