system of writing.

The very first city-state in ancient
civilization was Mesopotamia.
Mesopotamia is a Greek word that means
“land between two rivers.” The climate
of Mesopotamia is hot and dry, but the
rivers flooded in the spring time which
left behind fertile soil that was good for
farming.
