Signage: 1 • Hearing Aid Software Update* Let me start off by saying, thank you all for being so patient with me while trying to learn all of your names and faces. Some I still struggle with, but I’m getting there. I have learned so many things while working here in the last year and a half and have loved meeting and getting to know each and every one of you. I’m hoping by the end of the year to have my license, so if any of you want to be my guinea pig don’t be afraid to call the office. My life outside of work has still been keeping me busy with my two little ones, Dominic and Bristol. Dominic has started Kindergarten and is now playing sports, and Bristol, well, she is still wild as ever trying to keep up with her big brother. There are lots of new and exciting things this year at the Findlay Hearing Center with the three of us here and always finding new ways to better serve all of you! We are here Monday – Thursday from 9-4. Please don’t hesitate to call the office with any questions, concerns, or issue you might have or you can email me at [email protected]. As always, you can always stop in for any supplies you need. – Mandy Mandy’s Graduation at Starkey Hearing Technologies in Minnesota DID YOU KNOW: Like us on facebook! Tinnitus (ringing in the ears) affects 50 million people in the United States A NOTE FROM JODI: Wow! What an amazing year the Findlay Hearing Center has had. Earlier In the spring of 2015 we hosted a very successful open house event. We welcomed a little over 230 people whom enjoyed great food, drinks and some wonderful music by one of my good friends. I remember riding home that night with tears of pure joy streaming down my face. So thank you from the bottom of my heart all who attended and helped make this launch party a huge success! September we welcomed Dana to the team. She is a huge help at the office. She is currently enrolled and targeted to have her hearing aid license by the end of the year. She is also getting ready to finish up her PPA training in March of this year! Mandy completed her yearlong PPA training in October. I was so proud of her accomplishment I nearly teared up at her ceremony. She is now working on her hearing aid license and projected to finish by year end. I am so proud of our team and all their hard work over the last year, I hope you make the time to get to know them and tell them “Good Job!” if you get the chance. In late October we found ourselves at the Findlay- Hancock County Chamber of Commerce small business award luncheon. Our office was nominated for AT&T Emerging Business of the Year. Again WOW! Sitting in the room with so many amazing business people was an honor itself. The Findlay Hearing Center family on a visit to Starkey Hearing Technologies We will post helpful hints for your hearing health and special promotions! 2016 started with my going to the Hearing Expo in Vegas. The event, was again, a WOW! The hearing technology exhibited at the Expo has taken an amazing turn. I was able to see the new technology platform being released early this spring called, “The Muse,” which is a wireless product to help the patient who might have a unique hearing loss in just one ear. To explain a little more; if the hearing loss in the poorer ear is profound in nature and makes the ear “unaidable” (meaning that a hearing aid cannot help that particular ear), The Muse system is recommended when the wearer has normal to severe hearing in his / her better ear. Another glimpse into the future was the use of artificial intelligence for hearing loss. I know that is a lot to understand and I will be more than happy to talk about it with you at the office. As for my family, they have been extremely supportive in our new journey this past last year. Terry, my husband and farmer, has been working on his cover crop business. It has been very exciting to watch his test plots change the soil in the fields. As for our kids; our oldest daughter Maddie, took goats to fair this past summer and plans to take a few more this year. Skylar, our youngest is still extremely active in sports which keeps me busy running most nights. Winnie and LuLu, our new puppies, well, let’s just say they are puppies and continue to test my patience every day. On a final note, please take the time to fill out the survey. I need feedback to continue on our mission to serve you better. I want to know the “good, bad, and ugly” as they say and I promise to take the time to make changes where needed. I sincerely look forward to seeing you all in 2016 and as always the greatest compliment you can give us is the referral of your friends and loved ones. I started at the Findlay Hearing Center in September of 2015. I love meeting all the new people and getting to know everyone. If we haven’t formally met yet let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am currently studying to be a licensed hearing aid specialist and am hoping to achive this goal by year end so that I will better serve all of you. If you are just stopping in at the Findlay Hearing Center to pick up supplies please say HI so that way I can introduce myself and learn more about you. My hope is that our relationship will continue to grow and develop. I reside in Leipsic with my husband Greg. We have been married for 4 years and have 3 boys who definitely keep us on our toes. My oldest is Joee who is 11, Maxwell is 3, and Thatcher just turned 2. Max and Thatch don’t like to sleep which is why I am completely addicted to coffee! During my free time I love to camp with my family, cook, and shop (my husband isn’t a big fan of this hobby though). I look forward to meeting everyone in the years to come and being able to help you in any way possible. —Dana
