They are expected to be a basis for subsequent larger-scale mitigation actions for the post-2020 period. These NAMA activities include: • Gender-sensitive NAMA for sustainable energy in rural areas; • NAMA for Low Carbon Buildings in Georgia; • Vertically Integrated NAMA (V-NAMA) for the Urban Transport Sector. All above mentioned pre-2020 mitigation actions have been taken into account while calculating the BAU scenario. Covenant National Coordinators Key tasks based on the partnership agreement are: Promotion of the accession to the CoM for the municipalities; Provision of technical support; Definition of the scope; Designation of the methodology for the assessment, monitoring and verification reports; Reporting regularly to DG ENERGY on the results obtained in Georgia; Participation in discussions on the strategic implementation of the Covenant proposed by the Commission; Cooperation with all the other Covenant Coordinators. Adaptation in Georgia 1. Project Based Approach; 2. Transfer of technologies to increase the adaptive capacity of the country 1. for the protection of coastal infrastructure; 2. for sustainable water management; 3. for sustainable agricultural technologies; 4. for sustainable forest management. 3. Adaptation Actions for the period 2021 – 2030 1. national capacity to develop adaptation strategies; 2. policy makers capacity for climate change adaptation planning; 3. capacity of communities to reduce their vulnerability to adverse impacts of future climate hazards; 4. capacity of national health system institutions.
