Designed to save space in automotive and computer applications, the Vishay Dale WSLP0805...18 combines its high power-to-footprint-size ratio with extremely low resistance values down to 0.005 Ω. Advanced construction incorporates a solid metal nickel-chrome or manganese-copper alloy resistive element that has low TCR (< 20 PPM/ºC) Replaces larger current sensing resistors, saving space on the circuit board that in turn will create smaller and lighter products for the consumer Offers eight times the power dissipation of other devices in the 0805 package size For increased reliability, a reduced CTE (coefficient of thermal expansion) mismatch with the PCB reduces the possibility of solder joint cracks resulting from thermal cycles Product Group: Vishay Dale, Resistors / June 2015 The Key Specifications: Power rating of 1 W Resistance range from 0.005 Ω to 0.01 Ω Resistance tolerance of ± 1.0 % and ± 5.0 % Inductance from 0.5 ηH to 5 ηH Temperature range from -65 °C to +170 °C Availability: Samples and production quantities of the new resistor are available now, with lead times of six to eight weeks for larger orders.
