The focus of the course is to present both supplemental instruction to accompany the study of the text and to provide a forum for questions, discussion and practicing Spanish. This course is designed for students who want a clear introduction to Spanish grammar and reading that will also delight them and cultivate in them the wonder of language. Students will study the first two noun declensions and the first two verb conjugations; the present, past, and future tenses; other parts of speech (adjectives, prepositions, adverbs) and learn to read and translate basic Spanish sentences. Students will also study conversational Spanish and learn to speak using a proper Spanish accent. They will also acquire a Spanish vocabulary of 240 words.
