Factors
September 01, 2016
2 or more numbers being multiplied together
product
1 x 7 = 7
2 x 3 x 5 = 30
product
factors of 7
factors of 30
when a number has only 2 factors, divisible by only one and itself (1 is not a prime or composite numer)
Prime numbers Examples:
when a number has more than 2 factors
Composite numbers Examples:

How do you know if a number is a factor or not? or is Prime or not?
Divisibility Rules:
2: If a number is even
3: If when you add the digits, that number is divisible by 3
4: If it is still even after you divide by 2, or if the last two digits are a number divisible by 4
5: If it ends in a 0 or 5
6: If it is divisible by 2 and 3
7: You gotta know your multiples of 7
8: If the last three digits are a number divisible by 8
9: If when you add the digits, that number is divisible by 9
10: If it ends in 0
