Listening actively (Such as attending a lecture or listening in an assembly) Reading information (Such as using a text‐book or checking back through notes from class) Audio/Visual (Using video clips, TED talks, on‐line lectures, walking‐talking presentations etc) Demonstration (Watching other people do the thing you want to do; whether it is practical like a driving lesson, or theoretical like a well‐written answer) Discussion (Talking over the material and exploring it from all angles with, and this is important, peers of the same level of understanding) Practice Doing (Getting your hands dirty; having a go to see what happens. Trying and trying again) Teaching Others (Explaining a concept, demonstrating a skill or modelling an ability in order for another to copy, as an example of good practice)
