Ancient Ancient Egyptian Egyptian Tour Congratulations and hop aboard the boat! You are about to take a tour of the wonderfully interesting world of Ancient Egypt! Be careful on the boat! It is made of reeds called papyrus and the Nile is filled with crocodiles and dangerous hippopotamuses! Some background information from your tour director… Egypt before the Pharaohs The Nile River is the primary reason for the existence of the Egyptian Civilization. The Gift of the Nile provided all that the people needed for survival. In addition, the Natural boundaries in the areas of Egypt, protected people from invaders. This, combined with wealthy farmers created strong villages. By 3200 BC, villages began to band together and created TWO strong kingdoms. One in northern Egypt called Lower Egypt and one in southern Egypt called Upper Egypt.
