And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus.- Hebrews 12:1-2 Note from Camp Directors We are excited to bring Solid Rock Camp back for a fourth year and are thrilled to introduce two additional weeks of camp this year with a Leadership Camp for grades 9-12 and a Kids Camp for grades 1-3. Hopefully you will join us! The entire Solid Rock staff is looking forward to sharing a passion for faith and sports with campers again this summer. Sports have taught us about determination, teamwork and sacrifice, and throughout our lives, Jesus Christ has been our Solid Rock. Our prayer is that we can pass that message on to another generation of aspiring athletes. Solid Rock Sports Camp (grades 4-8) July 13-15 or July 20-22 NEW! Campers will participate in three different sports over the course of three days, with experienced coaches leading skill-building drills in the afternoon and competitions in the evening. Campers will be encouraged to grow spiritually through Biblical teaching in small-group and largegroup settings. They will also get the chance to enjoy camp games such as GaGa and capture the flag. An evening meal will be provided each day. Solid Rock Kids Camp introduces younger children to different team sports through a variety of fun games and activities. Campers will have the opportunity to meet new friends and be active throughout the day. They will also be encouraged to grow in their walk with Christ through learning Bible stories and participating in group devotionals. This camp serves as a springboard for our Solid Rock Sports Camp that campers can attend in the future. We will focus on helping the campers learn how to use the individual gifts that God has given them. A variety of hands-on activities will be used to help equip the campers with the skills needed to impact others in a positive way. Although not a requirement, students will have the chance to be a leader at one of our other two camps (Sports Camp or Kids Camp) later in the summer! The registration fee for the Leadership Camp will be reimbursed for students who decide to help at another Solid Rock Camp. Our Mission: Solid Rock Camp will encourage campers to develop skills in a variety of team sports and grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the guidance of coaches experienced in both faith and athletics.
