The Delphic oracles were received by Persian kings and Athenian
leaders and they indirectly helped shape history as we know it. The
landscape is fantastic, the ruins well preserved ,and the site’s
museum houses some of the most important art works from ancient
Greece

“INIOHOS”
DODONI: ANCIENT-THEATER
It is located at the North East part of the mainland, nested in high
mountains near Ioannina. The ruins and the oracle’s history are a
delight, anchored by a most impressive and perfectly preserved
ancient theater
PHILIPPI
The ancient place where Paul the apostle of Jesus, had baptized the
first European Christian woman, called Lydia. The remains of the
four basilicas of the 4th,, 5th and 6th century AD and the ancient
theater, provide the visitor with the essential history of the place
PELLA
Birthplace of Alexander the Great. The visitor can admire the famous mosaics and
parts of houses preserved from the 4th and 3nd ce.BC. The new museum exhibits
important artifacts made by local workshops in the 4th and 3nd cen. BC
VERGINA TOMB
This unique archeological site/museum is well worth a visit to
experience Macedonian culture. The tomb of Philipp II of Macedonia
has yielded excellent examples of artifacts which are exhibited under
the Great Tumulus alongside the ancient tombs

The Olympic games have evolved over the years to become the most
spectacular show business in the world and they travelled every
four years from one host country to another but in ancient Greece,
all “civilized” cities gathered in ancient Olympia to participate in

EPIDAURUS
The vast sanctuary lies about in ruins, but the Epidaurus theater
itself is a visual treat. Perfectly preserved it is still used today for
festivals and concerts

While the ruins themselves at Mycenae require much imagination to
appreciate and understand ,a visit to the citadel that dominated
Mycenaean Greece is imperative for those who have read the Illiada
and want to see the place from where Agamemnon ruled bronze age

ANCIENT CORINTH
One of the most powerfull city-states in the ancient world, known for
its famous pottery. The visitor can see the remains of Apollo’s
temple, protector of the city of Corinth, as well as a great part of the
ancient forum from Roman times
SANCTUARY OF THE KABIRI
(SAMOTHRAKI )
The famous ancient sanctuary was visited by the Philip the 2nd. There were the
mysteries of life and death for the visitors, who wish to be initiated on them.
The famous statue Victory of Samothraki , is now exposed in the museum of
Louvre, in Paris
DILOS-MYKONOS
Near the island of Mykonos, is claimed to be the Apollo’s
birthplace. It is another famous island with interesting
remains of ancient times
ASKLIPIIO – KOS ISLAND
Anscient sanctuary of god Asclepius, found on the island of Kos, in
the Dodecanese complex, where Asclepius taught and practiced his
medicinal theories. You can also see the famous tree of Asclepius,
where he used to give his lectures.

LINDOS – RHODES
The famous acropolis of Lindos dates back to 300 BC.
The main building includes the Doric temple of Athena as well
as the remains of a castle built by the Johannitas knights, in the
14th ce AD
AKROTIRI (in SANTORINI)
The “Pompeii” of Greece. Akrotiri is the tiny prehistoric Cycladic settlement that
was buried under ashes when the volcano of Thira erupted.
The inhabitants seem to have had ample time to evacuate the island since no
bodies were found during excavations. The town and the buildings themselves
however have been preserved in remarkably good condition under the volcanic
ash and offer a rear glimpse into the life and culture of the Cycladic civilization

One of the most important cultural places of the middle of the 3d
millennium. Administrative and political center in its time, it is
famous from the excavations by sir Arthur Evans and the wellknown labyrinth and the Minotaur

The second biggest palace on the island of Crete, probably belonging
to Rathamanthis, brother of Minoas . It’s world known for the unique
Festos disc.
