All objects in the solar
system are visible because
of reflected light from the
sun! Only stars
emit light!

and are small dense and rocky
Mercury is the closest planet to the sun, has very drastic
temperature differences, and closely resembles Earth’s moon

is the hottest planet in the solar system
Earth can support life because it has liquid water.
Mars is known as the “red planet,” has a very thin atmosphere
and low pressure.
